AtWaS - DaveV's unfinished work

I ran out of time on this one, even though I played on Normal speed in hopes of finishing.

Summary: built Pyramids, founded Confucianism, fought three wars with Napoleon (375-1040, 1190-1400, 1500-1570; he declared the first one, I declared the second two). Each time, he paid for peace.

I was planning on domination/conquest, but after I got Nappy's map and lost Taj Mahal to Washington on the same turn, there was no way I could finish the game in two days.

Scoring:
3 great artists, 4 wonders (Pyramids, Hanging Gardens, Notre Dame, Globe Theater, all in London), 9 size-10 cities.

My calculation of points: 39. Huzzah.
Timing:
Drama in 50 BC; London's culture in 1500 was 6314.

Big mistakes: I'm so used to playing aggressive civs, I thought I had to get a unit to 17 experience to build the Heroic Epic. I probably should have saved an engineer for Taj.

I'm afraid Globe doesn't count for the World Wonder scoring - but when did you build it as there's a "Fastest" category for that one? Oh, and did you make contact with everyone? Edit: re-reading, I can see that you did indeed do so, I should pay more attention rolleye

Hey pretty good! You're the first to have a tech lead when you met the other AIs. Shame you didn't get a chance to finish. Impressive that you managed to found confucianism and get an early date for Drama. I notice your cities are all very large - presumably you ran hereditary rule from the pyramids.

BTW, the 17 exp for heroic epic is warlords. On vanilla it's 10 experience, which is nice as you can get it just from the barbs.

I didn't keep good notes, but my best estimate is about 1300. No competition for fastest, I'm sure...

Actually, I stayed in Representation to keep my research going. 20% on the culture slider along with theatres and colosseums (colossea?) kept my cities happy. Until war weariness got cranking, of course frown. And it wasn't as much of a lead as it appears in that shot; I had a big tech lead over Nappy after pounding him for a millenium, but the overseas AIs were a couple techs ahead of me.

Ah, very interesting. The culture slider - that's innovation! I had hoped someone would try to build a spaceship from representation+artists, but the lack of happy resources has hampered this. We'll see ...
