sheesh all the barb cities! but you lasted a long time excellent call on not having OB, given that they went to so early.

yeah what they ask for depends on what you have available per turn. sometimes they have a minimum limit and if you have less than that, they won't make a deal. trading the copper was funny. before i had iron working, i could see in the trade screen that JC and mao both had 2 sources of iron, so i was like great, i'm screwed. JC didn't have any copper. after i got iron at the capital, it dawned on me that since i didn't need the copper, neither did JC but he might want it anyway. he did want it, gave me wine for it, score!

gotta love the "thanks, this will really come in handy. but gee thanks for rubbing in how very far behind i am" mixed feelings when the AI gifts you techs *giggle*.
