Letting Go

Man, that was easier than I thought it would be.

Account "Angeleyes" is no more. The account made visits to a number of pubbie games, all pre 1.10 new ladder, and gave away presents. There were some happily surprised pubbies tonite, I must say.

All of me East chars are long gone, died from neglect during my deployment, to include the dearly departed, last survivor of the Friends of Sysiphus, Spicer_FoS. Guess she retired while I was away . . . heard the call of the peaks of the Island of Philios.

All that is left is West, the new chars on 1.10 Ladder, and a few old favorites like the Slackers SmOcchiThe_Bare, OcchiDiMerc, and Assassin Occhidiangela.

The rest are gone to rest near Mount Arreat, I think, and I feel better. It was sort of like trimming a few of the gray hairs off of my moustache, or trimming that long fingernail. Just not enough time to keep track of all that, and with the new RBD mule accounts in action, no need for the mules who ended up playing a bit now and then.

RIP, Venomous Valk and friends: Diamond Dawg, the Great Bentini, Capacitrix, Cheeze of Nazreth, and all the rest. Y'all done good.

Occhi, I followed your example.

I had several mules that dated from the 1.10 launch (and were thus non-ladder). The only non-ladder chars I have that I'm playing are the team characters (from Slackers, Elemental Throwers, and Rogue Revival), and my lone necro who's about half way through Hell and I'd really like to get him to Patriarch. I asked myself, was I ever going to use any of the stuff I'd accumulated for other, future characters? The answer was a resounding No, so I made multiple visits to pubbie games and dropped stuff. As you commented, there were several happily surprised pubbies.

Nice to have committed random acts of kindness, and also to shed that dead digital weight... nod
