FFH II PBEM III Tech issues thread

I'll be putting up a tracker for this game, so while the rule details are still being hammered out we might as well get on with the boring technical bits.

Can everyone please give :
1) the email they want to use for the game
2) timezone, and prefered play window ( eg GMT+2, 11:00-16:00 )

so that a turn order can be agreed on and I can fill the fuzzy bits in my tracker setup.

My timezone is currently GMT+11 (will be +10 in winter). I'd prefer to be set up to play between 21:00 and 23:00 (In my own timezone that is, so 10:00 to 12:00 in GMT), though I can do other times if needs be when things get out of order.

So far this gives following turn order

Warrior Knight 8:00-14:00 GMT
Irgy 10:00-12:00 GMT
Mr. Yellow 15:00-19:00 GMT
Mardoc 23:00-4:00 GMT
Toth 23:00-4:00 GMT (same timezone as Mardoc but can play later/morning if there's a slip up)

We need to fit Nyktorion somewhere in there, but so far you're nicely spread up and should manage a turn per day if you really give it a go

Everyone on the list ( excluding Mr. N since he's not accounted for yet ) should get an email with a forwarding request. Once these get accepted tracker will be almost ready.

My timezone is GMT+1 (will be GMT+2 during summer), and my preferred playing time is 19:00-23:00 (translating to 18:00-22:00 GMT, or 17:00-21:00 GMT during summer), so that should fit me rather nicely inbetween Mr.Yellow and Mardoc.

How does this tracker thing work? I have to confess, my last actual PBEM was Alpha Centauri, so I'm probably a little behind the times.

Also, how do I know which patch I have? I downloaded FFH only a few months ago, well after Kael had moved on to that other game that he's doing, so I'm assuming I have the latest patch, but maybe I don't. My pyre zombies explode and sons of asena don't, which as I understand could either mean I'm on the most up to date and correct version or I'm still behind on patch N.

Quite simply. You send the save by email to the tracker. It gets auto-forwarded to the next person in turn order. And in the meantime everyone can go to a page like this to see whose turn is it and how long did he hold the game.

Go into the mod folder and check the modification date of 'Readme 041.rtf' file patch 'o' has it as 23-08-2010, if yours is earlier, you're on 'n'.
