Team Bring It! Omnibus thread

At the risk of appearing overbearing, I'm going to start this thread for most/all of our future game related posts.

Turn updates, planning discussions, random spam, I can't play my turn, please cover me messages. The whole lot.

We're not playing 3 civs.

We're playing a 3 civ team.

The only thing that matters is the total output of the entire team.

Catwalk, a third turn player would be welcome. But if you can't commit to at least participating in planning chats/threads then it might be best if you stuck to dedlurking us. This team has already lost far too many turns and far too much focus to uncommitted players. If you want in, you're welcome.

But, if you want in. Want in all the way. We're in a shitty position (I haven't had a chance to look at the game yet, but this team has had a lot of missed turns/player apathy. And we're up against some very good players so we're probably fucked no matter what we do.

I'm in this to make sure the other bastards know they've been in a fight when this is done.

What is the time window for our team's turns?

I'd like to set an "in house" rule that if we're past the 50% mark on the turn timer, any of us can log in and play anyone's turns.

Potentially misplayed turns >>>>>>unplayed turns.

Had a quick chance to glance at the turn.

Constructive criticism to follow in a later post, but right now what is going through my mind is WTF? The Financial Empire is running specs, and the Philo empire isn't? WTF?

Can I have some of that ?

I'll see about coming up with something constructive in the way of adivce in the next day or so.

I don't think we're quite out of this yet, but we'll need to put in some very good play if we want anything other than a glorious defeat.

A win will be damn tough from this position, but would be all the sweeter for it.

We need to get some Philo GS bulb action happening ASAP for University, PP, Chemistry and Sci Meth (since Airships are banned, bulbing Physics is less desireable than usual, but Electricity boosted State Property/Caste Waterwheels/Workshops/windmills are the fucking bomb. Cottages in our capitals (for B-cracy bonus) and farms and mines (for the moment) for our other cities.

Best of luck to you, Thoth. If I hadn't sworn off PB for good after PB4 I'd sign up to help out, since nobody apparently cares at spoilage status any longer. However, I'd rather have my nose hairs burnt off one by one than deal with PB nonsense again.

Sure thing. It was apparently not needed before. But it would be nice if I could get a GP Shrine going as well if we're going to start spreading it around. I'm running specs mostly because I need that academy in my awesome bureaucracy capital.

How are you planning on handling relations in a CTON game? If you're going all out with guns blazing, it seems to me that you will want to help take down the leading team. But that's all but impossible without coordination, let alone inability to make any kind of agreement in the first place. Do you have a brief overview of the known world and the standings of the various teams?

As for specialists, it could make some sense for financial civs to run specialists depending on how many GPs that civ has fostered already.

It's going to be a tough haul, but our empires are fixable and I have the beginnings of an inkling of a very Cunning Plan to get us back on track.

I hope I can help make it entertaining. I don't actually have 3 empires at my disposal Nabraxo (and possibly Jkean? is he still playing this?) but with some attention to the game from the team we should be able to put in a better performance.
