Ok, so now that that's there, I can write some actual spoilery stuff, not that this is particularly groundbreaking stuff.
Don't really know most of the players in this game too well, with the exception of Lord Parkin, so can't really make comments on that. However, I can judge the various leader combos, at least until there's something to do in game.
Genghis of Egypt
War Chariots are scary, AGG/IMP seems more useful in Always War than I'd usually give it credit for. Great starting techs for instant chariots too.
Mehmed of Netherlands
East Indiaman won't have much influence since Pangaea Always War. Dike is good, not great. Lots of cheap buildings from traits. Starting with Fishing isn't ideal.
Hannibal of Mali
CHA Skirmishers, Fin leader, good starting techs. Very good combo this one.
Wang Kon is of Inca
Fin leader, PRO is way better AW than would normally be, and Terraces are one of the best UBs in the game. Only slight downside is Mysticism as a starting tech.
Darius of Rome
FIN/ORG, extremely powerful traits, and will help access Praets quicksmart. Fishing as a starting tech will probably suck on a huge pangaea, but with those traits it shouldn't matter too much.
Louis of Carthage
No real synergy between the IND/CRE of Louis and Carthage. Cothon is a waste on a Pangaea. Numids could be dangerous, but they're no Praets.
Lincoln of China
Decent traits, great starting techs(arguably the best), UB won't mean much in this game, not sure of the effectiveness of ChuKoNus without Pro either.
Justin of Germany
Similar to Lincoln of China. Decent traits, very good starting techs, but useless UB and UU.
Boudica of Korea
Hwacha + AGG/CHA melee troops will be scary to face if a neighbour. Won't have much of an economy.
Shaka of Aztec
Don't leave any forests if starting near him. Abysmal starting techs, but Jaguars and Sac Altars are scary. Handy leader traits too.
Mao of Native America
Well, at least it's not Churchill of Native America. Pretty much going to be impossible to rush, but lacks any economic power.
FDR of Ethiopia
Good starting techs, but IND/ORG for always war? Not good. UB is not going to be much help either, and Oromos are a long way away. Definitely one of the weaker combos.
Hatty of Mongolia
Good traits, solid starting techs, and military uniques. Nothing spectacular, but better than a lot of other combos.
Peter of England
Solid traits, at least has Mining as a starting tech, uniques probably won't have an impact.
Joao of Persia
Immortals are a scary prospect. Good techs to unlock horses quickly, good traits to hook up horses quickly. No real economy, but Immortals are scary enough as is.
Brennus of Ottoman
Nice traits, late UU, handy UB, good starting techs. Pretty average.
Washington of Viking
Ugh, repick please? Vikings on a Pangaea... what a waste of my uniques. Starting techs are pretty horrible too, Fishing and Hunting. At least my traits are ok.
Gandhi of Khmer
Potential for elephants makes them a worry. Good traits, handy starting techs, and the Baray is a decent UB.
Whoa, long post. So, tl;dr version of thoughts based solely on leader/civ combos,
Darius, Hannibal and Wang look like potential superpowers.
Genghis, Boudica, Shaka, Hatty, Joao and Gandhi (if he has Ivory) look like being the best of the rest.
Mao will be hard to remove, but won't really have an offensive presence.
And the rest are just plain screwed.

Well, that's not a good start. There'd better be river wheat 2S, and some metal on one of those bare hills.

Well, that's a bit better. I'm thinking I'll be going Agriculture, AH, Archery, and start with a worker.

Capital settled on what was the forest, called ChildrenCollide because I'm naming all my cities after bands I like. Gut feel is I'm on a north-east peninsular of the map. (coast to the south east, tundra to the north)

If this is a Pangaea map, and not a 1 continent Fractal, this is a weird peninsular I'm on, or there's a massive lake to my south.

Correct. (and neither can workers or settlers and IIRC gunships)
