[SPOILERS] Plako's Great Leap Forward

If you like minimalistic turn reports, you've come to right place.

Getting here was a bit of an accident. I'm overbooked, but I like the idea of casual game.

So Mao is Pro/Exp. These combined give all the same value as Expansive earlier +extras. It is all about early game benefits that I would need to be able to exploit to get a strong position for late game.

Spain is bad. With sea food start one could land early religion although, if there is also good grain resource it might be better to build worker and tech Agriculture 1st. Both of their uniques are late and against humans mostly underwhelming.

Players and nations:
Ceiliazul - Louis XIV of Egypt
Plako - Mao Zedong of Spain
Commodore - Tokugawa of Zulu
Cyneheard - Lincoln of Byzantium
Dazed/Scooter - Stalin of Vikings
Pindicator/Regoarrarr - Bismarck of Ethiopia
Azza - Shaka of India
Yuri - Kublai Khan of Netherlands
Krill - Brennus of Aztec
BrickAstley - Suleiman of Sumeria

No financial civs comes 1st in mind. Krill got a strong combo. He is also best player from the group. The map position is the most important factor in a totally random map so the relative strength of the leaders is not itself too big of an issue.

Thanks SevenSpirits. Pretty clammy. I wonder how many random starts I need to play to get above average starting place. Well there are still unfogged tiles so I've hope. On plus side I've Fishing and I'm expansive so I get WB out fast. I've also plains hill start so moving is probably out of the question and I've forests.

I wonder if that's lake or ocean to your south. Is your start on an isthmus, peninsula or coastal to a large section of land? I think your start is a bit scary in terms of being unknown.

Scary?

If you mean I should be scared, I agree lol. With bad luck I'm behind someone without much land to expand to and significant portion of my tiles will be sea tiles.

Starting and you won't hear cheering from me. At least Ivory will let me to build War Elephants that might prove useful. I considered long between worker and WB. I didn't count, but my gut feeling is that worker would be out of work after improving cows so in the end I decided to start with WB.

One of the most frustrating sights of the game wink.

Krill seems to be moving far.
