Mackoti picked Sury of Maya. I feel a fool for telling him I still had Mongolia available...

On the other hand, let's be honest, I never was going to kill Mackoti wish Keshiks. The strength of Keshiks is that they force the opponent to build Spears just by being a threat. And the fact that he has Holkans instead of Spears doesn't change anything. Yes, he can start building them earlier, and copper is not as much as priority as it would've been normally against Mongolia. The real plan is

1. Expand
2. If there's stone, build Stonehenge
3. Try to build Oracle

5. Get to mid-game being on equal terms or slightly behind, and let the Fin trait shine

The start



An interesting one to say the least. A lot of early commerce, but not a lot of food. I moved the Scout on the hill SE in the hope if he sees some food resources

I was choosing between moving the Settler S or SE. Fish is a better food resource, so SE looked better. But it meant the I could not connect crabs for a long time, if at all. A later city N of the gold could build a Workboat for crabs, but right now I don't know if there's food for that city. And if there isn't, founding a city just to build a Workboat for another city is not exactly a good play. On the other hand, the fish can easily be connected by a second or third city. Also, tile bleed indicates that there are flood plains in the SW, which could be reached from the S spot

So, I decided to found the capital 1S of Settler's starting spot. When I saw a grassland cow 2SE of the city, I groaned. But I still think it was a good decision

Researching Fishing first, my best unimproved tiles are in the water, and I can finish Fishing + Mining before the Worker finishes. Building Worker first, then will go for a Workboat before the first Warrior
