TEAM (Willem of Sumeria) has already settled:

They settled inland => 9000 land area
They aren't on top of a plain hill and have a normal city centre => 1 mfg goods,
and work a riverside food or a floodplains tile (3,0,1) => GNP 19, and Crop Yield 5.
and they are discovering a starting tech without prerequisites (probably Hunting or Mining) => GNP 19 (they are Creative and it would be 21 if they are discovering like AH now)
Workers ETA 15 turns smile

Team Gillette (Pacal of Vikings) has settled too:

Starting very similiar to TEAM.

Interesting that Gillette don't have a coastal capital despite having Fishing as a starting tech.

Thanks for keeping track of that, Mortius. smile

That's definitely weird. Apparently they were not considering the Great Lighthouse when it came to choosing their civ.

I guess they're anticipating a fairly heavy water map, hoping to make use of the UU and UB? No other reason to accept a dud starting tech when you're not settling a coastal capital.

Doesn't the difference in Life Expectancy point towards different starts? Because team 3 is Exp, the difference in LE should be larger than only 1 point?

I am not so good with the demoagraphic screen. All I know, it's the life expectancy means the amount of health in a city. If the city is on the healh cap it should be 50. So it should indicate, that one civ have more forests than the other, but I can't say how much more.
Maybe somebody with good mathematics skills can count it?

Team Pirate (Mansa of Inca) has also settled inland:

It's weird. I suposed all our starts look the same. Now I think it's not the case. 10 turns worker is too good to let it pass by, so I don't think the teams that have already settled, had such an option.

Last Team Troll (Surry of India) has settled inland too. This time on top of a plain hill (12 turns worker for them)

All teams, besides our own, have settled on the first turn. It means we are the only team that has such a start. It's probably a good sign smile

I don't know how to do that complicated analysis that Mortius has been talking about, but I took the Demo screen shots before settling our city so we can have the before and after.
The before is after TEAM played their turn:

And then we have how things look after I settled the city:

Also took a screenie of the cities screen. Obviously this gave us the #1 city, but that was to be expected:

Interesting... and odd... that everyone else settled on the very first turn. Either they all had better options for settling in place (or within 1 tile) than us, or they were in much the same position and we might have gained a slight advantage over them by moving. Let's hope for the latter... the former would suck.

Mortius, looking at those latest demographics, it seems to me like Pirate got the 2-hammer start. If that's the case, I'm not sure that we can tell from the information whether Tropical Trolls have a 2-hammer start or not, because I think it would look the same either way.

So the summary of key information we have (correct me if I'm wrong) is:

- Every single team (including us) settled inland
- TEAM and Gillette definitely did NOT settle on a 2-hammer tile
- Pirate may have settled on a 2-hammer tile
- Unknown about whether Tropical Trolls settled on a 2-hammer tile
