Have you heard of Shin Megami Tensei?

Anyone else play it?

I am familiar with the main series (Shin Megami Tensei) and the spin-off Persona series.

My favorites are SMT:Nocturne and Persona 3.

its pretty cool. You basically work with "demons" called Thor, Odin, Raphael, Gabriel, Kohryu, Seiryu, stuff like that (mythological creatures of typically divine origin) ... but you also get stuff like pixies, Jack Frost, and Pyro Jack.

and your typical 'demons' are usually just in the Devil Arcana (such as Vetala, Succubus, Incubus, etc)

Devil arcana is, supposedly, just your mind working against you (your spirit wants one thing, your mind wants another-> working against it)

so your mind is the devil when it works against your spirit, or something like that.

Death arcana is when your spirit (or mind, I think) is trying to learn something new. Which seems odd to me, but ah well.


----> The original SMT series is primarily a dungeon grinder ... where you eventually have to fight some great being like God or Satan.

While the Persona series is generally more human/ psychological, and the cards (the demons) are generally more representational (like in the actual Tarot cards)
