Ave, friend lurkers.
We are Brick (pithy, cavalier) and Commodore (war, more war), and we are Augustus (Ind/Imp) of Inca (Agriculture, Mysticism, Terrace/Quecha)

Well then. The RNG hath spoken, and we have our leader (worst) and civ (best). I'm sure Brick and I will have plenty to plan for once we get situated, but there are several things to note already about this combo:
-We've got culture, thanks. Stonehenge we can safely ignore except for failgold, and the religious line sees a greatly diminished draw.
-Industrious means we do want to consider the Great Lighthouse and the Pyramids early, and will be all kinds of fun later.
-Imperialistic means settlers, settlers everywhere, and who care about missionaries. This is very nice.
-Cheap MPs are available for quite a while, which is awesome.
-Quechas aren't the BESTEST UU EVAR, but they are nice in the early barbarian/warrior choke timeframe.
-We have all the tools needed to crash the economy hardcore. Given Tech Trading, there is no downside to that.

The worst move, of course, would be to get embroiled in an ancient-era war. So Brick, how does avoiding those work?

Not being a crazy war-mongerer. mischief

Since we have quechas, is should be relatively easy to just make sure our opponents know we're too prickly a pear to try and eat. show some military force on the borders, make sure that if they try and ruin us we WILL ruin them. And hope everyone's selfish and doesn't try to stop us "for the greater good".

Also, we're totally doing the Evil Cities theme right? I'm so pumped for a Chimera...

Evil Lairs, so yes, the ISD Chimera is a must. "Z'ha'dum" is my own vote for capital, although "Oval Office" works too. (Hey, not being partisan...it's been a lair of evil since after Coolridge at least).

One small trouble with tech trading: You can't be too much of a tall poppy. We need at least one partner who will keep us trading tech, ideally two or three. That's all a problem for our diplomacy department, though. If we ever get one of those. shhh

Here's the list of competitors, ranked from best to worst combos, for future reference. Analysis to follow when we meet them or are simply bored:

TwinkleToes: Isabella(Spi/Exp) of France(Agr/Wheel/Musketeer/Salon)
Cornflakes and Queeg: Hayuna Cupac(Fin/Ind) of Zulu(Agr/Hunting/Impi/Ikhanda)
2metraninja: Suryavaman(Cre/Exp) of Mongolia(Hunting/Wheel/Keshik/Ger)
AutomatedTeller: Hannibal(Fin/Chm) of Native Americans(Agr/Fish/DogSoldier/Totem)
Azza: Louis(Cre/Ind) of Rome(Fish/Mining/Preatorian/Forum)
Jowy:Pericles(Cre/Phi) of Khmer(Hunting/Mining/Ballin'Pants/Barry)

I would put our combo between Azza and Jowy, most likely. Please note, though, that all of these are pretty darned close, especially the top three.

Semi-blindly durping along, I realize I'm in the Tall Poppy Team in a 7-player DIPLO-ON, TECH-TRADING game. I'm not going to be fussed to sink many hours into this, so:
PLEASE HELP- DIPLOMAT NEEDED

lol Just now grok the full implications here. I have to giggle a bit on this one. If left to my own devices, I'm going to be following the Tao of Krill, or maybe Sandover...Brick, how about you?

Read Krill's PB3 a little more closely...Krill is more than willing to beat someone over the head if it suits him, but he's adaptive.
