Anyone Interested in a FFH Cultural Dominance SG?

Title says it all. I've been thinking about a game on monarch-emperor difficulty, probably playing as Jonas Endain.
Anyone interested?

Possibly interested, it depends on what you mean by Cultural Dominance. Domination without conquest? Win by culture? Something else?

I'm probably more interested the more restrictive you want the variant to be. But I bet other people have other opinions wink.

I imagine it's the same as the BTS variant, where the goal was to reach a conquest victory without ever capturing a city other than by culture. It can't be always peace, because it's impossible to flip a city with a high enough garrisson. So, the rules would have to be similar to the previous variat: you can attack a city if you have a culture controlled tile near it, but you can't capture it, only kill the defenders.

Yeah the thought was either Always Peace (which would require manipulation of hidden nationality units to thin garrisons) or normal with the restrictions Ichabod mentioned.
I'm open for conquest, but think it will be decided by domination. I did a practice game of this, but have already made a few big mistakes so probably won't continue.
It basically would be along the same lines as Sullas game here (http://www.garath.net/Sullla/pahatty_1.html), but I'm open to variation.

Always peace can still win domination...do you guys think conquest is more fun? Apart from bragging rights, it can be done, I'd think not.

So I'll sign up for Dom but not Conq I guess.
On phone so cant check - can always peace have barbs and allow HN units to attack AIs?

Conquest can be done, as proved by one of the teams in that SG. The one with Uberfish and Pindicator, if I recall correctly. And that map had 1 tile islands in it, which is crazy.

I think always peace can have both barbs and HN units - I played with no barbs/lairs/huts but I could still pop a skeleton (the graveyard event).
I think conquest would just be a bit of a drag so I'd rather domination.
Are you interested Ichabod?

Aiming for domination, never allowed to take a city, then you can count me in. I'd prefer to have war allowed, just not ever conquer anything, and a higher difficulty. So that we have to pay attention to defense, at least.

I agree with Molach, aiming for Conquest is just too much. Domination is enough of a challenge.

Although Jonas might be fun, I propose Balseraphs instead. Perpentach or Keelyn, either could work. Conquering by entertainment just seems more their style than Jonas' style. Plus it'd let us try out a different side of them: not mages or summons, but heavy emphasis on slave-taking. Maybe even ensure that our foes include orcs and elves and dwarves and men, just so that we can get all the slave cages if we work at it.

I'm interested, but I just don't have the time right now with all my games going on.
