Big settings wise.

Mods- Vanilla BTS. I don't mind playing RB mod but would certainly rather just play bts.
Diplo- AI Diplo. Full diplo is a dealbreaker for me.
Map- Erm. Balanced but nonmirrored would be ideal. Some water.
Techtrading- Definitely not if we're playing vanilla, I'd consider it in RBmod if Notechbrokering is turned on.

RE: Map. We will ask the map maker to roll a map and edit it enough that it feels balanced for a non-mirrored map. Prevent players from being screwed from the start. That said, it IS a non-mirrored map, which is always hard to balance perfectly, so keep that in mind when deciding whether you still want to play.


That was fast and efficient. I reckon we should wait for more sign ups since it's only been half a day since the thread opened!
And it might be hard to spot with 3 other sign up threads going on.

I wish to sign up! I do this in part because I feel it's not fair for my detractors to be denied me as a favourite flame target, and also because I do miss playing Civ4. I messed up a bunch of things last time around, mainly concerning time management and overextending my involvement (I also made many awesome strategies and intriguing suggestions for game formats). I probably won't be playing more than just this one game, and I certainly won't be joining another one while this is still going. I also don't plan on lurking any games.

To all the players I flaked on, I'm truly sorry. Life was crazy for a while, and so was Civ4. I wasn't very classy or respectful about it, and I'm not going to defend it. I should at least have manned up and said goodbye. I can promise you that I will see this game through to the end. If any players signed up don't feel that's likely to happen, I'll let you veto me joining the game without any hard feelings. If any non-playing trolls feel that I'm going to flake, you can all suck it

PB suits my availability well, and I agree with all proposed settings. Even if they weren't closed (I only saw the latest post just now), I was planning on trying something new and *not* suggesting a new diplo format to use. Just to see how it felt. Do you have a picking system decided, btw?

With all that said, the cat is back!
