Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

Dhal [Spoilers]

So I got Huayna Capac of England.

A good combo. In a 34 civ game Ind is pretty weak with 34 players, but you get cheap forges. FIN is always good, even nerfed in RBMod. It makes coastal cities very strong and cheap Banks are awesome if you can get that far.

England is a nice civ. The starting techs aren't exactly ideal - Fishing can be a real liability, but Mining is an expensive tech that's nice to start with. If there's a seafood resource as my third or even second capital food, Fishing will be nice, allowing me to grow off a workboat instead of a warrior.

In addition, the change to Hunting as the requirement for Pasturing animal food like pigs means that you will never be in a situation where your worker finishes faster than the tech required for him to do something. This is also an area where starting with mining is nice - there's always a grass hill to mine somewhere if your worker runs out of stuff to do.

Guess I'll be waiting to see my start, but a tentative tech path assuming I have one agri and one hunting resource will be agri -> Hunting -> Bronze Working -> Wheel -> Pottery.

Also taking suggestions for city naming.

Kerbal Space Program planet names are pretty played out, I've used them in three current ongoing games. Deus Ex was a once off used in PBEM53, Starcraft was used in PB13. I'm using Mass Effect characters in a couple of duels and PBEM59.

Actually, some sort of Warcraft theme might be fun. Hashoosh and I did it in PB16 but I've been more of a dedlurker than teammate in that game.

Dhal, whats up with sitting at dead last in the thread list? how does your land look?

Mostly because I was pretty intensely focused on PBEM55 and trying my best in that game.

Also because I decided from the start with this game that I was pretty much going to play this game for the experience of playing with 34 civs, not to win. I'm pretty much playing turns on the fly with very little planning, and there's not a lot to talk about.

...particularly given the start the RNG saw fit to place you in?

Kill anyone yet?

Nope. Haven't actually really met anyone either. I have contact with direct neighbours to the west and south (Mardoc and BGN) and a workboat contact from Cyneheard showed up, but apart from that I've just been toddling along playing each turn as it comes and making mans.

Forecast for next 50 turns - make more mans

would pictures of my mans be welcome?

i dont have much inclination to write lengthy descriptions of my mans, but a series of screen dumps should give you all an idea of the amount of mans

unless the lurker civ is gathering that sort of info anyway
