Playing Tokugawa of Dutch. The best leader in the game, yay!
Now go away if you're playing

Right, let's go to meaningful posts now
Password is toku
And here's my start
This is an easy SIP. Plains hill start, 2 food resources, a happy resource, what else can I ask for. But... there was a slight chance I would want to move off the hill. The only tiles which allowed me to do it while keeping both food resources were E and S of the hill
After thinking about it, I decided there was a higher chance of moving S - mostly to utilise the useless plains tile. So Scout went S-SW onto the hill. And... found a hut. Which is very nice, but does not affect the settling decision in the slightest
So, I SIPped
Current research plan is Mining - BW - Wheel - Pottery, with Hunting tucked in as and when I needed. I would like to open Worker-Worker with this start, but it feels crazy in such a huge game - there's bound to be a warmonger around. But I have 12 turns to think about it, maybe the Scout finds that warmonger in time and stops crazy ideas

I'll honestly say that I didn't sim it. But I'm pretty sure it is. I have no 3h tile, a WB would take at least 8 turns to build, and the city will not grow to size 2 before it's finished. So if I build Workboat as quickly as I can, then a Worker still at size 1, it will take 17 turns (8 + 9). Worker-Worker takes 21 turns, and I think the usual issue of Workers improving multiple tiles makes then better. As I said, it's a guesstimate rather than results of a sim, but I'm reasonably certain Worker-Worker-chop WB, or just Worker-WB if BW doesn't come in fast enough, is better

Scouting as of T7
Land doesn't look amazing so far. On the bright side, popped another hut and got The Wheel. At least my early Worker will have something to do Also, as evident from the screenshot, made contact with Bacchus. Don't think he's particularly bloodthirsty, going Workboat after Worker still looks ok
