[Spoiler] Another collection of Sianic Games
|
Okay then ... New game is new
obivious first choice, as its what i've been thinking off for quite some time (since pregame of 32) is Decius of Calabim, with early Octupus Overlords, focusing on the protential synergy between Asylums (+25% Science +2Unhappy) and Governors Houses. Second choice would be another one that i've thought about for some time ... Thessalonica of Elohim, focusing on Monks/Priest of Ashen Veil Last choice is probably going to be Dain of Amurites, aiming at early Firebows for hilarity Other choices that passed my thoughts were some rush setup as either Tasunke of Hippos or Mahala of Doviello
After some thinking I've shuffled a bit around in my ideas
Decius - Calabim Thessalonica - Elohim Tasunke - Hippos
Dedlurker checking in. Got some comments, although I haven't thought too deeply.
If you want Firebows, the Org Amurite is a better choice (Valledia, I think?). Gotta get your first 2 XP somehow to unlock fireballs, Command Posts work pretty well for that. Dain is much better at going up the mage line, and Arcane works well enough in EitB that you don't need that initial XP surge nearly as much. Elohim are generally strong, without anything particularly standout. Thessalonica is as good as any, I suppose. If you go Ashen Veil, you should really endorse it, not just get Ritualists - there's a lot of strength in that religion, including Sacrifice the Weak and the Grimoire. About the only thing you might not use is the Diseased Corpses. As Tasunke, you really have to hurt people. I hate to do it to him, but HK is a good target for a horseman rush, he tends to run very light on defense early and become scary later on. Biggest trick is doing the raid in a way that helps you rather than just suppressing someone else.

Interesting Map start
From what i can tell the Clams are unreachable unless the capital takes it by moving 2s1e, which would also grab a Plain Hill under the capital hmm ... while probably not viable i'd at least consider 2s, on top of the cows, as that would get Oasis, 2 Wheats (both Irrigated), Clam, Gold and 2 Flood Plains 2s1e, in turn trades a wheat and the oasis for a PH capital and cows ... and leaves a very strong second city to the west between the wheats and Sheep
I couldn't find your mail address, so here's the save.

moved to the Plain Hill (still considering if the best capital is there or on Cows, but as i can move to cows and settle at the same time...)
Password is TrueBlood Settled on Plains Hill, popped Ring of Blood, started researching Argiculture (done in 7, same time as worker), not much else to note |
