Mirror Mapscripts for Tournament Use

Hi all,

Attached are some additional mirror mapscripts that are approved for tournament use. A couple of notes:

Hall of Mirrors: stick with the "tinyish" map length options or less.
Mirrorland: Avoid scattered Improvements and BFC Improvements

Generally speaking, remember that these mirrored maps, especially equal islands, may not have all the strategic resources available.

I like Mirrorland a lot better than Mirror Reflected Varied

Ok, I dowloaded those, but I don't know what they generate.

I have 2 question :
- is the symetry complete ? (I hope no, it removes some exploration thrill and more...)
- Is thre a way to look at a map without playing the game to see what the different generator results are ? Otherwise I'll chose one randomly and that's it.

Generate some sample maps with these scripts in single player and open up worldbuilder. You'll get an idea of the kind of map that will be .

The maps are symmetrical minus any potential bugs (I'm told occasionally a hill is a plains on the opposite side). I haven't noticed any nonsymmetry Myself during tests.

If your opponent agreed and you got a third party to agree, you could have the third party generate the map scripts for you and your opponent to preview.

As a note, if your opponent agrees you can use a non mirrored mapscript. The point of mirrored mapscripts is to prevent issues of good starts vs bad starts. We want the competition to be about skill as much as possible. We want to avoid the incentive to cheat and continually generate maps solo until you have a good start.

I'm most glad!

Just a note to everyone, LD Mirror Infinity guarantees you horses, copper, and iron within 2 spaces of your starting settler. I still like the map and it's mirrored nature. I want to verify that people are ok with this.
