Thread to discuss the game, the setup and everything else happening in WW40.
Also, we'll make a game. Every 24 hours I will ask a new question related to the game. Whoever gets it right gets a point. Lets see who can get the most points! For the start, the question is:
Will the torture anyone on D1 or will they not?

I think it is an interesting decision that I hope will spark some discussion, making the first day less boring. After all normally there is nothing to discuss on Day 1 except some wonky reads.

Torturing seems pretty obviously like a bad idea unless you're facing a LyLo situation; you fairly explicitly warned them that they'd end up either killing, neutering or flipping any innocents. Pushing for it D1 or 2 would be awfully scummy.

You still use the lynch even though it has a high likelihood of killing innocents, after all. If you could be sure it was a second lynch, you would absolutely use it. Same considerations, of course: you want to use it in a way that either gains information or you're confident you're hitting scum.

After reading the intro/mechanic post, before game thread or this thread, I had a strong epiphany....THEY WILL TORTURE as much as they are able. So yeah. They will. Not sure Brick though. Maybe MJW, call his ' I-wouldnt-object'-bluff. or dakalwe/ Lewwyn because reasons. Mattimeo would be my choice based on earlier games, TaL...torture all Lurkers.
