Pick list
We do reserve the right to remove picks should there be a consensus form. Duplicates will be assigned at random, please give me at least 2.
Map is as asked for, random, equalised starts, everyone should have a fair chance although significant differences in nature. Some wonder resources available, but not early. Noble tool thinks it is very equal. It is less lush than usual by RB standards. Made by throwing a normal torus, beefing caps and sinking land to make equal. Because BTS toro will be played on Noble. Does have the random improvements. No barbs again.
Standard rules - no GLH, no blockades, no spies, no being a jerk. Probably no war eles unless everyone wants them.

With the Fish being the only initial food, that limits my choices as follows:
Wang Kong Pro/fin of Spain myst/fish
Mehmed Exp/org of Natives fish/agri
Monty agg/spi of England fish/min
Ghandi phi/spi of Dutch agri/fish
washington chm/exp of Greece fish/hunt
Juils Imp/org of Carthage fish/min
Louis cre/ind of Portugal min/fish
With AH required for those Pigs, and Corn also in the BFC, this narrows down to:
Mehmed Exp/org of Natives fish/agri
Ghandi phi/spi of Dutch agri/fish
As I've never played as Gandhi, my first choice has to be Mehmed. Also the Native Americans have an early UB that improves Archers for defense, plus an improved Axe (finding Copper will be a priority).
So, in case everyone else is thinking the same, what would be my backup choice?
How about this:
Tokugawa agg/pro of Inca agri/myst?
Quechua with 10% Strength, Archers with extra City Defense & a 2nd First Strike? Hmmm, that might worry my opponents. Plus a Granary that doubles as a Monument.

There's corn in the BFC 2w of the start tile as well as the sheep

It's Sheep, not Pigs?
I spotted the Corn & that makes agri/fish all the stronger first choice, but the Dutch have nothing early on.
I haven't actually chosen Toku/Inca as the 2nd option yet. Just mooting the possibility, but it's a one-trick pony, so I may leave it & plump for Caesar/Carthage or Ragnar/Arabia instead.

Ok, I regretted not choosing Org or fin in the last round, so I'm not making that mistake again.
1st Choice: Mehmed of Native Americans - with Agriculture & Fishing, I'll bee-line Mining/Bronze-Working to find Copper to get the Dog Soldiers out as soon as possible
2nd Choice: Julius Caesar of Carthage - with Fishing & Mining, I'll beeline Archery & Horseback Riding to have that Numidian Cavalry out as soon as possible
3rd Choice: Ragnar of Arabia - Mysticism & Wheel is a bad start, and those Camel Archers are instead of Knights, but Ragnar's Financial, hopefully it'll balance out
4th Choice: Tokugawa of Inca - if I'm left with this, get the ready as I'm going all-out military techs & rushing everyone

So I got Mehmed! Excellent ..
Not sure if I'll update this thread as regularly as I did in the previous round. But I'll announce events like cities, techs, etc, and maybe ask questions if anyone's lurking.

t0 - Alan Pardew settled in place (especially as it looks like every-bloody-one else did):
And yes, you're eyes don't deceive you, I'm doing Mysticism first. Thought I'd try to grab The 'Henge to make this civ semi-Cre
