This is a thread. Probably won't be much reporting, but I'll post occasionally.
Have the first pick. I think the "best" pick in this situation is Inca and then taking the best remaining Pro leader on the backside, but I think I'm going to not do that, too many games played as Inca. I think I want to get Org or Spi, neither of which I've had in a game here. In event of Org, can't have my beloved Pro due to that combination not existing. Imp/Org or Exp/Org maybe (Julius and Mehmed). Fin/Org would also be interesting. If you can manage the early game with no help you end up with a nice economic advantage come mid-late game.

Your start:
Fog does not actually lie this time, although you're certainly welcome to read more into it than is actually there

Went with Zulu. Decided the set of leaders I like was broad enough I could go for a civ pick, avoided Inca due to repitition. Zulu fun, good unique building, and synergizes well with the set of traits in considering.
Trait wise - probably going to pick a combination of agg, org, exp, and imp. Don't have strongly dilinested preferences among them, will need to think on it further and see what is left (which is what led me to picking a civ).
Don't actually think agg is vital for Zulu, though clearly helpful and the Ikhanda really does make agg start to be quasi-org. We'll see how I feel after everyone's picked.
Also I will accept tokugawa. Blood God!

Given that you are a pats fan (I'm not ... don't actually have a set team ... just like watching good footy), I will dedicate lurk your thread ... just so I can bitch about everyone else at work who is a pats fan.

Glad to have you, though I may not update enough for it to be entertaining for me to be your only window into the game, so I won't be offended if you abandon me.
Picked Tokugawa. Love Pro, Agg works with Zulu, and triple promotions on gunpowder units is fun. Agg Ikhanda's is getting close to a... lower middle class Org? Probably better than a poor man's org.
I've mentally thought a bit about the start, but not planning to make a sim this game, though I may renege on that if I end up bored on a weekend.

That is the best combo taken IMO. Which given its been about two years since I've played isn't worth much .

Password is letter q, not a.
Amusingly, this wasn't an error of typing in this thread, but instead my hand was misplaced when I typed it in. Led to a panic when I tried to log in the 2nd time...
