Button, Button, Who's got the Button?

No copper, no iron (until popped from a worked mine), no coal, no oil, no native horses, no uranium until popped from another mine, and I bought the Aluminium from France to cement the victory.

Went on a Ancient Age Wonder Building spree - getting Stonehenge, Pyramids, Hanging Gardens and Parthenon then the Sistine Chapel during the Renaissance. Got my first prophet from Stonhenge just as Code of Laws came in for Confucianism, the second and third arrived just in time for Christianity and the Church of the Nativity. I captured the Temple of Solomon and the Buddhist Shrine from Saladin on the home continent, and the Hindu Shrine from Isabella on the near north island. With all those religions under German control there were four cities that did nothing but send out missionaries....both at home and abroad.

The next Wonder Building Spree began in the Industrial Age with the completion of Broadway, Rock 'n Roll, the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Kremlin, Hollywood. This continued through the Modern Era with the Space Elevator, Manhattan Project and Three Gorges Dam. And did I mention the Colussus and the Statue of Liberty? Well, built those, too.

I did not start the Apollo Program until after completing the Space Elevator but it was less than 30 turns from finishing Apollo to finishing the last Space Ship part, and would have been less had I not decided to nuke my only competiton (Louis the XIV) back to the Stone Age before launching. (Only because I had never seen the nuke animations before and becasue I could).

The first war started in 1230 (T183) with the discovery of Paper and a round of Map Trading and I was assured that no one had any iron or copper, except the Germans. So I whipped through Saladin with maces, catapults and swords, then once he was gone and the Germans knew how to sail bigger and faster boats than anyone else, took on the Spanish, and once the boats got bigger and faster with the discovery of Uranium and Combustion, took on the MesoAmericans on the other continent. (Louis had already taken Mao out of the game, though Germany ended up with the last Chinese city).

This game was a blast, and ended with one.....
