Adventure 5- Atlas

Executive Summary- Space Victory in 1948. In game score 5351. Augustus Caesar rating, end game score- 19623. (Pictures to Follow, just wanted to post).

4000BC- The start is pretty sweet, pigs, corn, gold, silks. This is Prince so a CS-Oralce slingshot should not be very difficult. Who knows. BW and a worker first though. Lots of Stone....hmmm.

3680-Buddhism FIDAL.

3640BC Meet Saladin.

3440BW to Ag.

2920BC-Free Iron Working. And look at that, no copper, no iron. Animal Husbandry is due next turn maybe I will have horses.

2880BC-Plenty of stone, marble, pigs and gold, all nice things to be sure, but a horse, iron, or copper would have been good too.

925BC Conf. Founded in Germany.

900- CS completes, I am gonna drop by archery really quick, then onto Catapults since Saladin as put a city on a spot I wanted.

25BC-Declare war on Saladin.

1000AD- Years pass and Saladin is no more. I know control the Conf., Hindu, and Jewish shrines. This would have been a cake wake to a Culture Victory, but well. Got Liberalism 1400 AD.

After taking complete control of my continent, I decided to just sit back and build this game to victory.

1931-Finish Space Elevator, got lots of cities working on parts, so time for the last Golden Age. Unfortunately Louis is the only one with Aluminum. SO I give him Assembly Line and then Industrialism next turn, for Military tradition and then for like free.

1948- So I win in 1948.

I certainly learned a few things from this map. I certainly won't be in the top tier of finish times, but 1948 was not terrible. No Aluminum, Copper, Iron and lots of other resources really slowed down my progress. Early Combat (the most profitable) was really restricted in this game, essentially after construction, but before Feudalism. I was able to take advantage of this, killing archers with catapults really early. If someplayers missed this window they likely slugged it out with gunpowder units. It will interesting to see if anybody poped a iron, copper, or aluminum out of a hill. I did pop another gold in Berlin's radius crazyeye . I think I would have won much more quickly if I had been Industrious. I built some wonders, but could have cleaned up had I been Industrious, this would have aided my finish time. Anyway, consider this Adventure 4 was Monarch, but I only finished one turn earlier in this game, on Prince!! Good Game. Thanks for the Map Sirian, having so many resources, but very little variety of resources was interesting and the lack of martial metals certainly presented the need for some tactical flexiblity.
