[SPOILER] superjm works around the clock

A Pitboss, how fun. Better cut down on those misclicks I have a tendency to do from time to time.  yikes

I think there is a script that can help with that. Post in the tech thread and I know someone will direct you to it. It may be in the WW forum.

Wait how would a script even help with misclick issues?

I think he meant a script that will keep you from clicking into someone else's spoiler thread. Only careful play and lots of sleep can prevent in-game misclicks.

Well the food is great, the spices not so much. I'd like to get a PRO leader for sure cause granaries are still too important, but not sure where else to lean. FIN's nerf is bad but it would be useful with so much coast and the lake tile, but eh. Playing with the double Nat Wonders sounds enticing as does going SPI to be able to pivot in and out of Slavery when needed. My initial gut instinct is to go with Saladin but we'll see. It's a shame ORG/PRO doesn't seem to be a thing, I'd take that combo in a heartbeat.

As for civ choice, so long as I can get one of Agri or Mining and maybe Fishing too though with the work boat change that isn't as vital. No animals means I can safely ignore Hunting at the start and getting Wheel wouldn't be the worst thing either since it's one of the three "expensive" starting techs. My eye is on America as the starting techs are ideal, the Armoury seems really good and potential Guerilla III/Drill I/III rifles honestly sounds kind of terrifying. Japan, England, Rome, and Mali all look like solid options as well. Special mention goes to Joao II of Portugal for potential ridiculous REXing/fast Feitoria shenanigans, which sounds fun if not gimmicky lol

First pick will probably be either America or Saladin and then being content with whatever the leftovers are on the way back.

So Saladin of Rome it is. Not a whole lot as far as early economy bonuses go outside of the cheap granaries and potentially early Bronze Working, so I'm really going to have to make use of SPI to succeed here. Praets are still good though and the Forum GP bonus is welcome, although markets are tough to fit into a build early on.

And we're off!

I'm not going to promise that I'll report on this game as thoroughly or as often as I can, keeping up with my EITB game is mentally taxing enough lol I will give some quick comments on leader/civ choices before we start in earnest though, based on nothing more than my own intuition and barely functional knowledge of the current version of this mod.

Superdeath - Huayna Capac of Carthage - Numidian Cavalry seem pretty scary now, as starting with C1 means they can get into some fearsome promotions out of the gate with just the Barracks and Stables. HC seems like a decent pick in this, I imagine he's coastal and so he can take advantage of FIN's bonus early on if he so pleases. And of course the double NWs

Krill - Bismarck of Portugal - Looks like Krill had sort of the same idea I did about Portugal, just trading out IMP for IND. Cheap Harbors for easy access to Feitorias, and the potential for 2 dangerously strong cities when combined with double Moai. Oh and increased work boat/worker speed is always strong.

Lewwyn - Qin Shi Huang of Mali - Yet another IND leader, this time paired with PRO. Was one of my desired leader picks so I feel like it'll be pretty fun to play with. Mali means cheap Mints and PRO Skirmishers making him nigh impossible to break through until, I dunno, maces/knights?

Old Harry - Isabella of China - Good ol Izzy trades out her Catholic heritage for a slightly more Eastern alternative. SPI is self-explanatory, high maintenance but high reward, and while China's uniques are unimpressive they boast some great starting techs, which combined with EXP means Harry can get a really quick start.

Elkad - Stalin of America - Alkad takes the plunge on the potentially fearsome America, and adds an AGG leader on top of it. This also makes our 4th IND leader and I hope I don't start next to this guy because those minutemen coming from two Heroic Epics is not a fun thought.

Donovan Zoi - Willem of Arabia - Nothing complicated here. 70% Madrassa production, territory control, more commerce, science up the wazoo, etc. etc.

Gavagai - Mao of Inca - Throwback to Vanilla Civ 4's good ol EXP Terrace combo, just slightly reconfigured and with less free culture. Quechas no longer having C1 does sting, but I imagine this will still be as solid a strategy as it's always been.

Superjm - Saladin of Rome - Man what was this guy thinking? I hope whoever's near him puts him out of his misery quickly. lol

Mr. Cairo - Julius Caesar of Aztec - The most intriguing choice of the bunch I feel. The only IMP AND ORG leader of the bunch and a seemingly unorthodox civ choice. But I think I see the idea. REX with IMP, use cheap Altars and ORG to mitigate expansion costs and utilize the altar's 5-turn anger reduction for mass whipping shenanigans. Intrigued to see how this plays out for him.

OT4E - Tokugawa of France - One of my other initial choices besides Saladin, OT4E took him immediately and likely for good reason. He could be an utter nightmare to fight with C1/D1/D3+whatever else muskets, and he gets the cheap granaries like all other PRO leaders.

I'm kind of scared of Donovan, as he's the only CRE leader of the bunch and the extra culture from those cheap Madrassas means he can easily squeeze out anyone he's next to with little issue. Outside of that, all the picks look solid enough, so I'm excited to see how this game goes.

Any updates for the lurkers? War plans? Tech plans?

I'll try to get an update together in the near future. Not much excitement in my part of the map as I'm pretty darn isolated and only have OT4E as my immediate land neighbor.
