You can not buy anything from NPCs until one level (usually 1,5,9, or 13) is clean each time you join a new game. Because of your "unusual looks" they do not trust you. Cleaning out a level shows them you are a good person. Pepin does not care about looks (being the kind soul he is) and will sell you items and heal you.
You must pick either a fire or lightning based breath weapon, no other spells can be learned. At each age point they are "given" one book to learn it, any they find in the dungeon can be used to up the breath weapons ability. No buying books from Adria.
One magic based spell can be learned per age level but only if she finds the book herself. No buying books from Adria at all.
No shields at any growth level (Dragons Breach is the only exception).
No Clubs/blunt weapons.
Enchantments
All items with dragons or drakes are usable no matter what they are, and highly preferred. But Half-dragons are not dumb, they do not have to use them exclusively if there is something better they can use is found.
