The FOM (flipped out mage) is a mage variant who one day after doing to much homework, flips out and becomes obsessed with moose. To start a FOM create a new char and put "(FOM)" after the name.

The FOM is very confused about life and does not know its own power (no looking at the character sheet, and optionally, the spell book). Also because of this confusion, most of the FOM items are quite strange; as the FOM doesn't have a clue what to use. Most FOM's also have some other mental disability(OCD/ADHD/ADD, or any other disability you want to use). The FOM loves items of stability and mana shield, because they are something stable in the constant confusion most FOM's live in. Some FOM's have abilities which may be discovered later in they're life (meaning, optional levelup distribution restrictions).

The original FOM guidelines are below; because of the nature of the Flipped Out Mage, however, yours may look very different:

1.the FOM can only use things that are kinda weird cursed stuff, things like a, "dull dagger of sharpness" or godly rags of the whale or something like that.

2.if a item of the fool is found the FOM can begin a quest to become a weirdo. He must fling himself into the church and die. Then he must get his stuff back and cast a spell every step of the way.

3.if the fools crest is found the FOM may apply to become a "Moose Dork". To do that he must kill the butcher after having died.

4. after the FOM becomes a Moose Dork he can apply to become a "Moose Weirdo". To do this he must kill Diablo after being knocked out of his light radius.

5.The FOM may only look at his Char sheet when putting L up points in.

6.When a FOM wants to put L up points in he must get as many of his ears as he wants L up points and drop them by the cows. When the dupe message comes up at he loses all but 1 ear he must take that ear and fling it at a cheater saying, "CHEATER! CHEATER!". when this if the cheater pk's him he gets another 5 points to put into l up.

7.A FOM who finds a fools crest and completes all the quests may apply for the rank of, "OddBallMooseWhale". To do this he must do the strangest thing possible and post it on this message board. The title must be, "Meese Cute" if the board thinks this is weird enough the FOM gets the title.

If you want: Every 5 levels a FOM must drop all his stuff that's not a fools crest or of the fool. This is so he does not get attached to material things
