Son of a Baron (sob), he takes the path of a rebel
Born of SNOB
parents, the minimalist takes the path of a rebel, disdaining what his parents
loved, and selecting only minimalist material possessions. He likewise uses
utility spells, plus offensive spells not allowed to SNOBs. He holds nothing
against his parents or other elitists, but prefers this path. A minimalist
will coop with anyone. Basically, the SOB wears items that are extremely
meager (base AC 1) or have but the lightest enchantment. Starting off: sell
your goods, you can't use them, earn some cash, and check Griswold and Wirt
frequently for a suitable weapon and/or armor.

Spells - NO Mana Shield. The
golden globe reminds them too much of their parents' ways.
Staves - Angel staff and staff with spell not usable.
Books & Scrolls - No books bought from Adria. Scrolls are ok.
Shrines - No shrines other than Hidden and Religious.
Unique Items - None usable, since we are the rebel of SNOB
Items:
An item must be either meager (AC 1) or minimally magic, defined as follows:
As long as one prefix or suffix is totally minimal, the other may be anything.
Thus the best combinations usable on larger items would be red/white/blue+10%
/ eagle; topaz(+10%) / stars- brilliance- accuracy- giants- vigor- wolf-
swiftness; Raven's / sky+1, etc. On a meager item, you could get something
like Godly Cap (AC 1) of Whales from Wirt.
Weapons:
Only a bow, melee weapon or staff which has a minimalist prefix or suffix
may be used, else the character uses fists/feet. A staff with spell may
NOT be used unless the spell is drained from it.
Shield:
Buckler AC 1, any pref/suff, or else any type of shield with a minimally
magic pref./suffix
Armor:
Cloak AC 1, any pref/suff, or else any type of armor as long as minimally
magic

special bonus allowance for high level characters.
Spells
and scrolls: All except Mana Shield plus special restrictions.
Stats:
Points need NOT be distributed at the time of leveling
Warrior: may only add pts to Str to wield a legal weapon that has
been found/bought, until it become 90 or all stats maxed.
Rogue: same for Dex and Bow.
Sorcerer: may only assign +1 magic pt per level up. Once he has
reached 30th lvl he may freely assign any such points.
Special Spell Restrictions - Stone Curse, Chain Lightning, Fireball,
Elemental and Teleport.
Tables
of minimal items and pref/suff.
Any items are usable if the
base attribute and or pref/suff match one of the following.
Special allowance for higher clvl - From clvl 10, add 1 bonus point
to the item's attribute(s). Add one more for every 10th clvl thereafter.
This means a clvl 30 sob can wear a cape with a base ac of 1 to 4, for
example. While the extended base value itself does next to nothing, it
will open up more chances for getting better items.

they are not really minimalistic and should not be used without a proper
suffix.
