My buddy Tim is hosting a fundraiser in form of a gaming marathon. Basically, him and a couple of others will play games on stream for 24hrs+ straight to raise money for a charity. They've raised 64k$ so far with similar events. The next marathon will be in three days, starting July 15th. The charity organization this time around is "Free The Children". I feel this may be a tad premature, but I'd like to gauge the interest that's out there for a third Diplomacy game. I was going to wait a bit longer, but Diplo1 is nearing a point where (for most players anyways), the time commitment is pretty light compared to early in the game when emails/chats are flying. It's summer so for me so I easily have time to start up a new game, and I know of a couple people who expressed interest in participating in the next game, so ... what's the interest level? Who all is interested in playing?

[INDENT][/INDENT]I will be playing this game under what I find to be the best way to play Klackon. Which means I will be raising all non-Klack cities and trying to rapid expand. Since Klacks don’t really have a late game army to speak of (Stag Beetles ewwww) I will be relying on Summons, Heroes and Mercs. I hope to expound upon something that I tend to neglect most games, road systems. Since an ant’s natural building strategy is to have a massive of network of tunnels, I feel roads would at a bit more Ant flavor to the game.

As mentioned in the welcome thread, I'd like to host another MoM tournament. The first one (at the DS site) was a stunning success, the second one here ran out in the sand as it wasn't that well planned.

The concept is to all play on the same map with the same starting location. Each player will be able to customize his wizard and pick a race. Details of this haven't been decided on, I'd like some input on that first. I'm thinking we either devise a point system, use the original point system or just all use the same setup with different races.

It should probably run for about a month after which reports are posted, with anyone being welcome to submit a game at a later time. Victory should probably be decided by win date, whoever is fastest wins.
