[PB70 Mjmd] STAND AS ONE!

Some things from the start I'd like to get back to:

While it is POSSIBLE Tarkeel built 5 different starts and tested them all, that seems a little much. Tarkeel has done all the same starts in the past as well as limited number of starts (ie 3 starts for 9 people). As well as stone islands I would expect at the very least similar starts.

Just to get back to you on this: Yes, I did build five different starts (and areas) and tested all of them to at least T50, several later. Did you find that the starts were varied enough?

The cow is not necessary to improve for a while, so I can avoid AH if next city site also doesn't need. Its also a location that particularly due to lack of forest to chop means I can either max whip a worker into a settler after or maybe even go 1 worker. Some day when PB66 doesn't have a turn I'll have to actually do micro.

I actually tried very hard to give everyone different options for how to settle this area, and there were several different attempts. In hindsight, was the site as obvious as it felt when you first found it?

Lastly, you scouted the north first. Did you feel this affecting the order in which you settled cities?

Ya I noticed the capitals were different later and was surprised. They all seemed good but different.

I know in the lurker thread you didn't like this for my 2nd, but I still like it a lot. It was closer, required very little worker labor itself, and could get out a 2nd worker fast to help the snowball. These things really helped me get my 3rd and 4th going, which were both farther away and required lots of worker labor. Later I was slow building workers (It grew so fast it was always at happy cap) a lot here and then whipping settlers and it was a key factor in my fast expansion. I know a lot of people settled their gold city 2nd and I tried to make it work worker wise once I discovered, but that site just didn't do what I needed it to do early and this one did.
