I donât know what the best graphics is for open source. I usually donât pay too much attention to graphics yet, since I consider a low priority for TBS. As long as it is passable, I am OK with it. I agree that graphics adds to player experience, but adding graphics to nothing is still equal to nothing in my view.

Not a good way to motivate anyone. Did you play any of the published commercial games he programmed for? "Nobody" for you, but not for me. Also, how can you claim "no one" would believe? For one, I believe that he has a good chance. We also have 2 other programmers, who already contributed to coding, so that makes 4 of us who believe. Even if he does not cross the finish line, the project is not necessarily dead. Please do not project your own belief as that of the whole world.
That's why I put "nobody" in quotes. Because it wouldn't be literally nobody, but still not enough people. For people who can't program it would seem like another empty promise, overambitious project or simply a scam. Most people can't tell a well written program from an eurasian badger.
If you go to http://www.masterofmagic2.com/ and check the links, you will find that 95% of them respond with a 404 error. This is true for most software projects(failure), I am told. The fact I even browse this subforum and comment in threads shows that I do have interest in this project and I'd like it to succeed. That can't be said about Catnip, It doesn't entice me with the direction it's taking. In fact, Im unsure that I can pull it off, but that wont stop me from trying. Also, making it open source ensures that, should I fail, someone can pick up. Meanwhile, I updated the sources, so some progress is beeing made. YAY!
A graphics and sound overhaul is badly needed as long as it keeps the flavour of the original. Have there been any developments on this as I am VERY interested?
