Small tournament, while waiting for Catnip

Will take a little longer to edit the map properly. I'll refrain from scoring as I'll know a fair bit about the map, but I'll play anyway.

Finally got a new computer up and running, so now that I can play other games than werewolf...

I'm giving this a go. Haven't completed a game with insect-patch yet, but what the heck. Also the restrictions are surely going to kill me off - with a berserker I might hold my ground and get the nodes, but not sure how the heck to play this one out. So I'll be posting a loss report in the other thread before long.

We're restarting the tournament shortly on the same map because this version was a little too strict, will be giving the player Warlord and let him capture alien cities. Also making the entire map visible since me and Oso have seen it already. So if you wait until later today, you'll have a better version to play smile

Good, good.

I was doing allright (I think, peace with AI was a must) but neglected to raze a certain city (I'm not used to razing so I automatically clicked 'no') by a certain mineral deposit so I had to quit.

Feel free to keep playing, VM just had a swing at it too and we're changing the rules (effective immediately) to allow for capture of alien cities. You're still limited to spearmen, swordsmen, bowmen, shamans, halberdiers and engineers, though. So one valid long-term strategy could be to try to capture some dwarf or troll cities, their halberdiers are great. Lizardmen halberdiers would also work well.
