yeah ... haven't posted this much lately, but thats at least partially because there haven't been much interesting going on since our warrior is detouring to the south westwards around the lake to the west of us, and our scout is rerouting to the north again (sure, not ideal, but i'm trying to explore evenly around out from my capital)

Azza seems aggessive through given that he's warrior is moving down toward us, even through he should know that he can't get through so i'm currently building a warrior just to stop any funny business ... that and i can use it to point out that i'm not the aggessive party even through i was the one doing an aborted choke, since i didn't actually go through with it (and didn't get closer to his borders than i had to, given my current direction)

Warrior is done in 3 turns and Azza can earlist attack after 4 turns, while he attacks from a side that doesn't matter all to much given that my worker is on the other side

t13:

Azza appears to have cut the ideas he've had about attacking us by getting rejected by the borderpop at the end of last turn, and turned his nose back northwards.

Mine is done next turn, and then the Worker is going to partially farm the Floodplains (in lack of better to do) followed by starting to chop out a settler or two (want to keep enough forests to chop out GLH through)

BW is still researched and following that its going to be Animal Husbandry <-> the wheel (one way or another, not sure what would be better) -> Sailing -> Masonry -> Pottery (for graneries) ... should be able to get out at least 1, maybe 2 settlers before its time to start the Lighthouse for GLH

as for Settling plan ... Me & My (supported by an additional workboat from Aqua) seems like a logical first and following that ... pff ... depends on strategic reseurces i guess

Interesting fact ... I'm the only one that grew to size2 in t12 ...

thought i really should get around making a update in this game.

just played t33, and built the 3'd city, picking up horses and sealing the border to the NW with Azza ... next city is probably going to be down next to the copper

I'm second to third city, TheMusicMan being first by getting it in ... t31? somewhere thereabout, while Azza only just got second city (likely slowed down by his push for Stonehenge before getting the settler)

Cities are all working highest food possible (respectively, a Netted Fish (toybox), a Pastured Sheep (Me&My, only just grew to size 2 so haven't had a chance to tell it not to work a bare grassland) and a fish + Wheat (Aqua)) ... got 4 workers, where 2 of them is currently setting up a road network, one is improving the gold north of Me&My, and the last one is pasturing the horses, and 5 warriors (tied for highest in Soldiers), with 2 explorers, 1 defending Me&My, 1 defending Aqua, and one just built in Aqua, intending to go defending Toy-Box

Next on the set-list is Graneries, since Pottery finished at the end of the turn, and i'm whipping quite a bit with great food and medium hammer resouces, Althrough for the time being Toybox is building (with the intent of whipping) a Workboat which is going to go down to the Copper ready to net the Clams there when our forth city is landing (quick math says that it should be ready to net in t41)

Techwise i'm planing Sailing->Masonry next, since we've done most of the initial worker techs, and aiming for GLH (... probably in the capital since none of our cities is that forest rich) and Writing afterwards for creative enhanced Libaries)

more specific sceenshots on demand

just noticed something while looking through the game today ... ToyBox (merely 5 tiles away (counting diagonal as 1½) is having a 2.5g maintainence from Distance ... I guess earlish CoL is to be gotten

Finished Sailing since last sceenshot (forgot to take one) and is halfway done with Writing ... next in line would be Masonry (GLH) -> (Meditation -> Priesthood)/(Mathmatics -> Currency) -> CoL

update ... t54 just played

other than a minor border skirmish with Azza things have been going quietly and i've been expanding ... i'm first to 7 cities, with Azza as Stern Lantern with a mere 3 cities

General view of the Map
[Image: indiat54map0000.jpg]

other than a single coast (for Me & My, to grow this turn, after that it'll be on Scientist duty) every city is only working on improved terrain ... i'm a bit low on workers admittedly (only 4), but given that i've got enough improvements as it is, its not as important, but certainly something to be aware of when continuing the push

specific cities:

Aqua:

Currently building GLH ... the hill forest down south is prechopped and is going to be finished chopping next turn (since Math is in by then), lately it've running a whip cycle where it've been whipping settlers and growing while building GLH, but i doubt that it'll do that soonish again

Me and My:

currently growing, due to connection of Silver, but from next turn it'll continue its Scientist specialists ... otherwise i'm thinking about making it my shortterm worker pump

ToyBox:

short-midterm military in lack of much better to do ... might consider building up a small army to punish Azza's lack of development

Nephew:

Will keep growing and after the Granery it'll build a Libary and use it to work some Scienists

Alphabeat:

just finished building a workboat, (which is currently used by infernal), and it'll get a ton of cottages with the hills around it being swaped to it as infrastructure is needed to be built

D-A-D:

Working the Silver while Corn is being farmed, after that it'll return to the corn ... longterm it'll likely be a cottage city as well

Infernal:

Newest city, and is mainly built to get a solid border with Slowcheetah

---

as for the demographics We're in the lead of everything important

GNP is a bit scewered through since we have a fair bit of culture from Creative (and Libs) while others have wonders (as of yet Stonehenge and Oracle is built)

All in all, its going well, and unless we're being piled (which is part of the reason Me&My and Toybox is building Chariots, mobile defense) I think we're in a solid posision looking like a tentative first place ...

Next on Tech road is going to be Currency->CodeOfLaws ... Maintainence is not quite as bad as in 29g, but its still something that's tackled the ealier the better, given the cost

Great play.Keep reporting not like me.lol

Had a war with Azza, with him razing my Confusism holy city ... Razing a city was worse than it being specificly the holy city, since i doubt i'd ever get around shrining it so meh ... the military i've pumped out the last couple of turns is going to be redistributed around in my cities for happy police duty given that i just revolted to HR (love Spiritual), ... not quite ready to revolt to Caste yet through, but that might come in some 5 turns when i've whipped the last Granery/Courthouses in the exterior cities

comments on the treaty

I don't settle near your Ivory

Played with the throught but honestly not a loss for me, since it would be a pink dot anyhows

Quote:You can settle NW of Toybox

He'll have to be quick then because after i press done in t90, Me&My will borderpop so he can't settle it

Quote:20t NAP

Not like i intend to attack him again within the next 20t ... my napkin math says that i, if i dedicate myself, should be able to start hammering out Knights in some ~15 turns (Feudalism (halfway done), MC, Machinery and Guilds)

Quote:OB for length of NAP

Better for me than him i'd wager since it'll give me more money as per GLH ... got a couple of settlers on the way to get most out of it

Quote:100g up front

only thing that was annoying, but still ... its not end of the world that i have to run 0% 1,2t more

...

What the war managed to do was leaving room for BRick (driven by commodore) to jump into lead ... which might actually be a good thing because then its not me with a "pile on me" sign on my back
