So... at the risk of opening a can of worms, how would folks feel about calling the game for the Clan at this point? Ellimist's production is quite a bit higher than all the rest of us put together, not even counting the warrens, or figuring in his substantial tech lead, or the fact that he owns the Nox Noctis.
For every ranger I build, he can field something like a dozen mithril axemen of roughly the same strength.

I'm happy to keep playing if folks would like, but I think this game's been over for a while.

I am fine with ending it if everyone else is. While I am enjoying myself, I agree that the outcome is probably already decided. Also, it takes a lot of time to manage so many units and cities each turn.

My preference would be to keep going until one of us can break through the Vivec/Gon Gatha border, or at least until the treants expire.


PS: Putting units on peaks does not keep them safe!

Sure, I have no problem sticking it out. I might have been able to raze Vivec last turn, if I'd been willing to trade my army for it. But all you have to do is move a couple of national units there and it's safe from me (especially if I've lost my druids ).

Let's call it, then. The result is already obvious, as Ellimist is the clear winner by far. If you want to play some more turns and kill some units, just send them to me.

Edit: This game got pretty heated up at times, so maybe I've said something bad in the thread or something like that. I don't remember anything specific (I pointed out a diplo message that Ellimist sent to me in a past PBEM to Kyan, one in which he calls himself an untrustworthy player, for us to use as diplomatic argument - it was just part of the game, no harm intended), but I apologize if anyone took offense.

Question: is there a way to turn a PBEM into a single player game? I'm kind of curious about whether I could fight off an AI in Ellimist's position.

Sounds good. I would have liked to get the chance to finish off those druids, but no biggie. We both know they wouldn't have survived another turn. (Also I was hoping to get the chance to cash-rush Meshabber.)

You can load a pbem save in pitboss format, but a lot of FFH things don't work correctly in pitboss. Probably the best/easiest way to get an AI to take over for the rest of us is to "retire" the rest of the players. You can do that easily if you have our passwords. (Mine is "ares") If you haven't deleted any saves, you can do this from any point in time.
