Gandhi of France II - Assuming Direct Control

FWIW, this means Commodore has to pay for these units and Dave doesn't. Debate the great persons/cities all you want, but gifting the Musketeers makes a lot of sense to me and doesn't strike me at all as gamey/unfair. Dave clearly benefits and he assumes the risk of those being used on him, so I think all-around the Musketeer gift is hard to get upset about.

I agree with that, so long as they would have been able to reach that same turn without the trade (which could have happened if Commodore hadn't botched the railnet). But, I'm not upset by it or anything. And I agree about the maintenance issue, just not the great people. I don't see how that helps at all to win the game.

Congrats on ending the war, here's to hoping we have a successful showdown now.

Reading the above scooter, I cannot agree with you. Gifting the Musketeers away doesn't seem to make much sense to me, if that means that he simply has to gift away several cities because he no longer can hold them.

Enjoying the thread thus far, but I had to stop and laugh:

He convinces everyone not to fuck with him, then takes advantage of his aura of aggressiveness in this game to build in peace with the perfect builder combo and finally win a game.
Food for thought.

lol The trouble is, went too far in the other direction.
