Imperium 37 - Closing Day!

Please post your reports in the Tournament Reports and Discussion forum!

I hope everyone enjoyed this one; my playthrough was perhaps the most thrilling game of Orion that I can remember, so I hope others had similarly exciting experiences! (My Shadow report will go up over the next couple of days, starting nowish!)

Thanks to everyone who played this one - I hope you all had as much fun with it as I did!

And congratulations to MaxPower for winning the Extreme event with your first-ever Imperium report! (Still, I'd be intrigued to see if you could have scored even higher if you'd abstained in the early vote you wound up winning!)

I continued the game and won in year 2500 a domination victory. Meklar vast SoDs filled with fusion bombs obliteraded three of my initial colonies, I answered them in same kind and genocided them. Then I charged on Sakkras until I had enough votes to win.

I'm hoping to open it Monday!

That said, looking ahead to Imperium 39 and beyond, any offers [EDIT to make sure it's clear: BY ANYONE!] to sponsor a game - with "sponsoring" just meaning creating the save file and making sure it's playable and fun - will be met with gratitude and accolades! If you want specific edits to the savefile and the edits are within my knowledge of how to edit the game, I'll be happy to do those; that actually takes almost no time in comparison with finding a good starting save.

[EDIT: Also, I somehow missed responding to your post above - thanks! It looks like that did make accepting the early victory the right (scoring) move for your game. I'm glad the game got more interesting afterward though and that you had a chance to play it through!]

Of course it turned out to be a very challenging and fun game. Thing is I played it on another computer and lost the saves and pictures so I couldn't write a (shadow) report of it. I hope next Imperia is just as thrilling as this one was!
