Almost all my mounted units had 3 promos, I just didn't have any reason to promote them yet.

I have so much collateral, and I've had steel for 2 turns already. Somehow, despite being near-bottom GNP, my tech rate remains pretty decent. Must be the combination of org+courthouses+small empire.

Don't think I'll be going past steel though, Railroad is just too expensive, it'll take 20 turns to research it and steam power, which is like 7 turns of gold saving, for a total of 27.

The galleons were on the way this turn/next, I was stuck building enough army to keep your stack from marching through Sneatonthorpe + keeping enough army and navy positioned around to keep from getting rolled over by OH or revenge invaded by Rusten with infantry. I would have picked off cities outside of the bastion city but to me the combination of tech parity + you not having any direct threats besides me so you could just stack a single city was a problem I couldn't overcome when I had to look three different directions at the same time.

You could've very easily taken me out much earlier, but it would've meant exposing yourself, or at the very least whipping your empire into the ground.
