1t for slavery, 1t for caste and then 2t back to slavery (I think). It was mostly that you had great people hanging around or due soon for the second and third revolts and didn't seem to want to start a golden age. Perhaps I overvalue avoiding anarchy?

The garden's special thing is that it's available without pottery which is useful for about five minutes, so letting it stay cheap doesn't seem like a problem. Bowmen aren't a bad unit really, but nothing game-breaking.

I think that people reflexively work around anarchy, rather than explore if it's actually a good idea or not to wait. Being willing to take anarchy means more flexibility.

When I switched out of slavery, I think we had 6 or 7 settled or about to be settled cities that could not be settled for 1st ring food, and so getting the artists made sense and I thought losing the turn was reasonable.

Given that I used the GP after the 2T for sistine, I think I didn't really have a good reason to delay a GA to switch back, even though we whipped pretty heavily.

Agree that both Inca and India are OP. I was shocked that I was able to pick India 11th and alluded to it in the official picking stage. No one else seemed to rate it at the time. noidea

Not sure I mentioned this somewhere but we were considering picking India as 1st pick, but eventually went with Inca as we decided it is more flexible to combine with leader (and we had no idea which leaders we would have available).

Yeah, Inca and India do not need cheaper granaries for their civs and UBs to be relevant. Babylon probably needs the price reduction or the Garden is a bit too meh. Being able to delay Pottery and getting an early capital granary can actually have decent snowball value, but as OH said, it's not thaaat long until you want some cottages or writing..

I guess with those changes it would make it quite map dependent which one of the granary civs you would prefer
