I'm super confused. A few posts before this you mentioned that you were planning on attacking us, but then here it sounds like you weren't going to. Were you planning to actually attack us before we took the island? We definitely thought you were. Also, I was curious why you did end up making peace with us? We thought you were going to dogpile us with Laz.

I do agree that the map was pretty tough for a pick like yours. The contested areas were good and worth fighting over, but it was also true that even the contested areas favoured different players to some extent, so it was hard to fight for them early without over-reaching. GG, and congrats on the insane James-Bond capital raze! hammer

I was ALWAYS hoping to be the 2nd in a 2v1. I didnt have the land/capacity/anything to produce much myself. Everyone got more of the land than i did, Mjmd managed to go way up "my" side of the corner, you took the gems on the other side, and i felt trapped. I made peace with you partly because i didnt know Laz was going to fold quite as easily, and i was probably rather depressed at how the game had turned out.

Having grabbed Alphabet rather early, i knew the whole time how far ahead some people were, which probably contributed to my rather depressed mood the whole time lol.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

That is when Amica had the game on lock. You killed everything i had, for no chance to go further, imo. I moved only a little bit to try and signal that i KNEW you could hit it, but wanted to show that we could move immediately into Amica land.

Ya I mean I knew Amica needed to be taken care of. If you had completely abandoned the city, I would have given peace and let bygones be bygones. If you had then declared on Amica I would have has well. But yaaaa leaving a stack in range after razing someones capital. Well, even I'm not immune to taking that kind of shot. I even mentioned in my thread I was aware it was probably the end of a good shot vs Amica, but ya know hammer

The whole Beds situation didn't make sense to me from the beginning. I needed that city to even have access to Amica...... Amica's culture also straddled between your empire and that city. It just made 0% sense you stayed in it as long as you did. Even if you had made more progress initially, it wouldn't have been a stable situation....

But ya I really needed that 2nd GA for building infrastructure instead of whipping units to be competitive long term, so you were successful there. Ah well.
