Since it's turn 103 I better post some stuff.

I used to think the game state was 4 people doing well and me floundering.
Then MJMD pulled ahead, so it was MJMD leading, then other three, then me
But lately Charriu's score is not great and I notice he has no powerful wonder offering like the other three. And while i have zero wonders, I do have 14 cities, to his 10. And I can found a 15th.

I think Charriu plans to attack me once he has something to kill Skirms, which could be warele-cata or even knights. He has a tech lead over me because my tech is abysmally shit. I have city lead over him because of aggressive early settling which really cramped him.

Recently the others (well, SD) propoposed a mass OB closure with MJMD to slow them down, I cheekily asked for 80 gold from all three expecting some haggling, maybe worded myself bluntly due to being busy, got rebuffed equally (or more?) bluntly. Didn't even bother to haggle with me! So now I'm butthurt. I threw the spanner in the works because at the time I thought I was behind the three non-MJMD players, so I didn't care about dragging down game leader who doesn't border me - I'm already behind mid-tier players so who cares. Maybe I would've done it differently if I'd perceived myself as potentially equal to Charriu (which depends on me catching up on tech lead instead of ending up with skirms dying to Cuirs or some shit).

Net income is 21 and that's with quite a few scientists. LOL. Currently research Iron Working, not got mathematics even. Ugh....

Further context, MJMD had offered me zero interest loan to limp to currency, and gifted me incense just last turn. Did mention that in my gold demands for OB close )))
I maybe have engaged in some really bad diplo skill, but at least no ingratitude

As of turn 109, 11 farms, 8 fishing boats, 8 mines, 4 pasture, 3 camps, 24 cottages, 17 hamlets, 6 villages.

Also just popped a Golden Age and my next income went from 17+11 to 97+11. LOL. Currency by the end of the GA. Even if I don't get a loan from MJMD which I think I am about to.

I so nearly got surprise attacked this game if not for SD/MJMD warnings. I think I deleted my scouts from early game to save maintenance, which was a bit dense. Really shouldn't get surprise attacked from OB as happened with Commodore in PB69...

Anyway the big news is that MJMD captured 3 scooter cities, razing 2 or 3, so maybe scooter won't attack me now and maybe charriu, who soon gets Gunpowder also won't.

I just got Machinery and am about to get HBR. Only just getting Xbows and wareles to go with the first few whipped catapults...

I've been whipping infrastructure on the back on a non-GA switch to Organised religion, with a mix of whipped and hardbuilded missionaries to spread Judaism. I figure that is quite a painful or even not worth investment, but it feels nice to get through Mint-Courthose-Market a bit faster, especially since Mint is UB and market is 50% faster prod from Protective.
