Diablo Ironman 2023 VICTORY

For a little over 10 years my brother and I have been attempting the Ironman challenge in Diablo. We have come close to victory but never succeeded.

I just finished editing the footage of our most recent attempt and will be releasing it on YouTube. The first four floors will be released today, then one floor per day until we kill Diablo or die trying:

Good run! I find the optimal length for the vids is around 15 minutes, but certainly don't want to see too much sped up. Nice edits. I enjoyed the vids.

Exp hogging for the Warrior early on definitely has its advantages. And Dexing it up all the way pays off vs Leoric. IIRC the math, the Rogue can have more fun being a tad more active and take on a couple more Clvls without affecting the Warrior's Clvl (too much).

Just watching your runs make me question if I want to start Ironman again - I would have to relearn and memorize Jarulf's Guide all over again

Hey KoP, always good to have you watching the run! I still remember when you commented on our 2013 run and I was like "no way, its the guy from the Ironman website!". I think you're right about the Rogue being able to get more levels early on. We learned so much in this run and will definitely keep that in mind for future runs. After all these years there is still so much to learn!

Videos get longer on later floors just because it takes longer to clear them. I try to cut out as much nonsense as possible and speed up any fights that are obvious outright victories, unless they were notable for some reason. Sometimes it does go on for a long time though. Such is the nature of the Ironman challenge I suppose.

WooHoo! Going to Lvl 16, looks like we are going to see a win.

Hope you catch this before the final run.
Don't overlook the potentials of those +Str items. With the warrior's current stats vs Mlvl those Str adders means you should be able to stun everything in Norm Diff.

Interesting reference from Charis! What exactly means "a BAR warrior" in the "IronMan Troublespots - A melee Analysis" section?

You make a great point about the +Str items. Unfortunately the run was recorded a few months ago (it took a while to edit the footage), so we won't be able to put that to use on DLVL 16 this time.

BAR is a Diablo 1 Barbarians Variant - White items only, and no juju spells (not even TP).
