The Imperia (MOO Tournament): Coming in 2008

Hi,

There is a slight problem. I can access this site (the whole realmsbeyond domain) from work, but I can't seem to do it from home.

This is weird. I'm a Linux/Firefox user myself so can't try out IE, but I've never heard something like this before from anyone. What exactly happens if you try to access RB from home? Is there a difference between the main site http://realmsbeyond.net and the forum http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/ ?

Nope, same thing for both, I tried.

All that happens is that the page takes forever to load, it doesn't even give me 404. The mouse cursor remains in the hourglass shape as long as I'm in the window.

I'll try installing Firefox tonight and see what happens. I hope it's not an ISP blocking the site.

No idea what the matter was, but yesterday it worked perfectly well on IE7.

Also, the XP solution linked on Sirian's site didn't work, so I just launched it on DosBox... I hope there are no hidden bugs that might crawl out.

I'll give the bugs in space game a shot, as soon as I find some free time. Any tips on how best to take enough notes/screenshots for a worthy report?

I've recently started playing Moo again, would be keen for an imperia!

A way of logging a game would be good, perhaps if a MoO remake is ever made it should include such a feature!

My favourite race is the Darlocks, they make impossible games so easy! I don't know why no-one else likes them.

Glad to hear that! I'm still looking at a late spring/early summer target for starting up the Imperia. Basically, I'd like to wait until I'm not concurrently writing/researching my dissertation, teaching a class of undergrads, AND managing the Civ4 Epics before embarking on a new venture.
