First Win on Impossible!!!

I just had my first win on Impossible! I realize that's probably small potatoes to those who regularly win variants at that level, but it's significant to me. Five opponents, medium galaxy, played as the Psilons (yeah they're the most powerful, but this was my first Impossible game. Sue me ). Managed to stave off some brush war action from the Silicoids long enough to turn everybody else in the galaxy against them, then took the diplomatic victory. Not very impressive, but I'm happy

I dono if anyone here regularly wins variants on impossible (maybe Zed and Sirian), but I know I wouldn't. I do good just to win normally on impossible with most of the races since I've sort of eschewed buying votes and asking for war declarations vs people that I'm not at war with.

In my book, almost any win on impossible is a good win.

Now your all set to face Imperium 6 (aka Hugeous Impossiblius The Unready ) when its ready.

I still lose on Impossible. I wouldn't say that I play variants much, either, although I do play Epics-style with some of the game balance loopholes off the table.

I think my Mrrshan game showed how close it can get even when you do everything right. Some games, it just isn't meant to be.

Anyway, I've -very- pleased for you. Sounds like you had good fun, and that you are ready for some more.
