I'm playing a solo game with Humans. My first successful attempt at Hard could give me a couple of early Diplomatic Victories, but I rejected them to have some fun. So I eliminated Mrrshans. Now I can't have a Diplo victory and thus I have to turn on Silicoids. However, Silicoids have some crazy shields on their planets and although I'm capable of generating black holes and I lead in tech, NONE of my weapons work. Hell, I can generate a black hole and I can't even tech beyond Nuclear Bombs! What can I do? Getting some friends and winning in diplo is not going to cut it, because there are not enough votes. Darloks, Sakkras and Meklars are just lap dogs for the two superpowers of me and Silicoids. What Would You Do?

*Nobody has any bomb tech you could steal? You would only need Anti-Matter's; even Class XX planetary can't screen them out completely.

*Can you get to Orion? The Death Ray will cut through that. Plus you might land a useful tech.

*Are bio weapons an option? You can spore the planet out of existence from the combat screen.

*Do you have combat teleporters? It would be very messy, but you could just send in waves of troops past the missile bases.

I'd invade the non-superpowers, terraform their worlds up to standard, and vote myself the Galactic Emperor. smile If you've got Black Hole Generators, you should be close to maxed in Planetology tech too, right? All else fails, you've got the tech to invade Orion and grab Death Rays, just as dathon said...

It worked. I got their worlds, terraformed them, and then sold all the new toys and signed an alliance with each of them. jive Thank you!
