I didn't know anyone was paying attention. If I'd had a couple MOAR BLOOD, WARRRR posts, maybe I could have sent the save around a few more times. The writing was on the wall, had been for a while. No need to keep going on.

Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

My greatest problem in this game was that i was severely pressured by Boldly's creative holy cities ... and my attempted attacks at them getting a breakout fizzled (at least partly) due to the fact that he had enough of a warning span instead of me being able to 1-2 shot the border cities ... other than the single city i sniped from Slow i didn't really have anywhere to aim at due to those

Only issue with the map itself would probably be that Horses was placed where it was to contested and not clear which one is whoms (they were to close to the copper and with a Holy city there ... ) it would be better if they were places in the corners of the big lake, just outside reach from 3'd ring capitals

I'd agree with this, about the horses. On such a small map, mobility for quick strikes is critical if offensive warfare is going to get anywhere. That is the only reason I was able to hold you at bay, Sian, because I could see the buildup. If you look through my thread, once I got the hills under my control at Megatron, I could see most of your buildup, and guess what I couldn't see through following power numbers because you were always rival best. It was easy to see a buildup, not quite so easy to parry that and keep an eye on Commodore. I kept silently pleading for you to build a boat or two to mess with him, but I can see how you had to prioritize beating on me to get anywhere in the game. The funny thing is that the holy city cultural attacks were designed to prevent incoming attack by giving me cultural control and visibility. It managed that, but also forced you into a position where you had to attack me, or get left behind. I'm guessing you felt like it was a catch-22 and you had no other option.

then again ... it was also a self-inflicted catch 22 for you as well ... as long as you had those two cities you were forced to keep playing defensively since i didn't have any other viable option than to try and break out through one of them

Sounds like the conscious decision I made to avoid heavy cultural pressure worked well diplomatically, then. I've been a bit sporadic as I was out of town this weekend, but I'll post a final update with some thoughts and try to digest some more. GG all.
