So, I tried to play Imperium 23 (Impossible Meklar, but with a friendlier map: I got to 6 worlds without having to spend a single BC in tech) using the 1.40M patch, and lost badly to a Runaway Psilon: I never got beyond those 6 worlds, and the Psilons just went nuts. But here's the interesting bit:
I lost to a civil war when the Psilons caused all two of my remaining worlds to go into rebellion. This caused an ending moving that I hadn't seen before:
Anyone seen this one before? I usually end up resigning before I die, but normally one's slain either directly through getting bombed or through conceding the vote. I've found that on Impossible the 1.40M AI is REALLY quick to expand, almost unstoppably so.
