I had a good initial land grab with 5 planets base size 90+, a base size 45 and a fertile U-poor world. A couple of years ago my scientists discovered IT30 and IRC3 and my planets are on the upgrading process. Everything may look good so far, but thing is, my Psilons opponents are on their way of grabbing the most part of the galaxy. I've been checking reports on them every turn and they seem to come up with a new tech every 2-3 turns.

If anyone has an idea of how to face them before is too late, I would appreciate some advise.

I attached two saves. Save6.gam on year 2381, and save1.gam on turn 3 (I forgot to save on turn 1, sorry), in case someone wants to execute his own opening and maybe outperform mine.

I was playing on version 1.3 but feel free to use the kyrub patch if you want.

For some reason the site doesn't allow me to attach the saves, so here is the link:

I just tried your game. I don't think that the Psilons are the biggest threat, though I wouldn't ignore them either. I'd be more worried about the Humans, as they won the council is the 2400 election (I didn't get very far lol ). Also, I found that the Silicoids have a pretty strong empire too once I made contact with them (no surprise there).

A few comments. First, I would adjust your research slider bars a bit to get your controlled colony bases out faster. I'm also unsure why you were going straight for radiated as you had that tundra world and dead world available but no open radiated worlds around (unless you were trying to make a play for that Rich one the 'coids had?). Granted, the Dead world is pretty lousy but it would open up those unoccupied two stars in the northeast that I didn't get a chance to scout before the game ended. Plus having the dead/tundra worlds built up might just give the edge to not lose the 2400 elections, as one more vote would have kept the game going.

After getting Range 7 I had made contact with the Mrrshans, who had two stars. My plan, before it was cut horribly short, was to try and take Fieras from the Mrrshans, adding a world to my empire and likely putting me in range of the Darloks. After expanding through the Darloks it would probably be time to take on either the Humans, Silicoids, or god forbid the Psilons.
