Picks happen whenever players want to, claiming them in the order Tarkeel rolled. There's no pressure given our relaxed schedule for starting the game.

I have been supplied a starting position in the form of a screen capture of a city on a map. That city is part of a Civilization. That is not my starting civ?

The snake pick will determine your civ and leader
the starting screenshot is so you know what kind of start you will have incase that helps make your civ/leader choice easier. For instance, if you start with Cattle/pigs you might be more inclined to pick a civ that starts with hunting for faster animal husbandry. Snakepick: Greenline Nauf Gavagai Ricketyclik Mjmd Ginger ljubljana Dreylin SD GT You are 4th in the snake pick order. So, after the ones above you choose a Civ OR a leader, you will get to decide on 1 choice. Then it makes its way down, and then loops back where you will make a choice of whatever you didnt pick the first go around. No doubles. So cant have 5 people with Rome, or with Elizabeth, ect.

Also familiarize yourself with the mod we are using. Close to Home 4.0? Some big changes include the ability to build workboats without fishing. (still need fishing to connect resources) Other changes are mostly nerfs to op things from Base BTS.
