I'm sure there will be lots of possibilities, just maybe not the same ones. The game (at least at the lvls we can see) is in many ways more equipment dependent than skill dependent, so I doubt there will be any equivalent of BNMs. On the flip side variants that restrict equipment but allow skills might be more viable---for example, if no stat point allocations are allowed, things might get tough down the road (though they'll be very easy in the lvls covered by the beta) because in HG:L you need stat points to equip higher-end items. Or no stat/skill points if you want to make it harder. And are naked engineers allowed to give their drones weapons?
