OK, I've given up on ArenaNet caring about my preorder situation, and by extension, whether or not I buy their game. Must be some chaos going on in their ranks somewhere. I have also given up on Amazon.com as a source for the preorder, and thus also for the game. I cancelled my order.
Luckily for ArenaNet and those who would welcome my company in Guild Wars, I have a family member with a medical appointment in Johnstown this week, and it's a five minute diversion to pop in to EB for me. So unless that goes wrong as well, I should have the Preorder disk in time for next month.
Gah, what a hassle. This still counts as Strike One, in my book.
