When do you turn off research?

I did already. wealth builds are gone too, which is was a big boon to our economy. although I'm thinking I may need to pick them back up again if we are going to hit astronomy in any reasonable time frame, after some infastructure builds (well in big hammer cities like gilgamesh and maths, anyway).

so here's a question. I offered azza peace for his southern island city by mistake. but commodore has taken it already, before azza could log in. what will the peace deal look like to azza when he logs in? will it just be canceled (hopefully)?
