Do you expect there to be much use out of the central continent as a place to colonize? It's not nearly as inaccessible as the New World in the Apolyton Demogame, but Sullla's point that you're not going to be able to defend two places at once seems relevant. Islands, of course, are always vulnerable to the Sirian Doctrine or boat sneak-attacks, but the central continent requires both naval and land superiority to hold. Of course, it will likely be where cross-world contacts happen, anyways. I'd lean towards making the central continent's terrain somewhat better than the donut ring, to encourage people to settle there. Maybe it's the only source of certain resources.
And standard size? Going to be very different from RBP1. We'll see whether or not people pick appropriately.
Capital: Are all the starts coastal? If so, and if you're going to give people 2 ok-food resources (4- or 5-food, instead of 1 6-food), then I suggest that 1 should be in the water. With tech trading off, having a silver/gems/gold at each capital is certainly reasonable.
Stone/marble: Islands only? Or Center only? Or not at all? I don't think each player should have easy access to both resources, but anything else should work just fine.
